Flagstaff Arts Council and Living Traditions Presentations are pleased to present Tannahill Weavers in concert at the Coconino Center for the Arts on Friday, September 7, 2018. Doors open at 7:00pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm

Coming up on their 50th anniversary, this Scottish traditional band presents the musical heritage of the Celtic people. The Tannahill Weavers combine the traditional acoustics with a twist of modern rhythms. The band first grabbed the attention of audiences when the founding members, Roy Gullane and Phil Smillie, brought their full sized bagpipes to stage. The combination of Roy’s guitar, vocals and Phil’s flute introduced a new way for traditional Celtic music. Eventually, the Tannahill Weavers would travel across Europe, Canada, and the United States, and winning the Scotstar Award for Folk Record of the Year.
