Flagstaff Arts Council is pleased to present New West Guitar Group in concert. The show will take place at the Coconino Center for the Arts on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Doors open at 6:30pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm. Raul Reynoso, Michael Fleming, David Jackson come together as the New West Guitar Group from California. Their songs portray and honor the lifestyle of the people from the American west. Each musician’s individual culture and history is played in their strings, creating new western style music. Fleming portrays growing up the cowboy way, Reynoso brings elements of his own Hispanic heritage and love for Gypsy jazz legend Django Reinhardt into his guitar work, and Jackson outlines where he got his huge iconic acoustic bass.


They are winner of three best song awards from the Academy of Western Artists and The Western Music Association and the Will Rogers Award for Best Western Group, New West Guitar Group has toured the Midwest in as part of the Arts Midwest and APAP touring programs. They’ve been a featured act at the Elko Cowboy Poetry Gathering, the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival, and The Strawberry Music Festival in Northern California. After performing together for 18 years, this group keeps their passion of music at the heart of all of their songs.

New West Guitar Group will return to the Coconino Center for the Arts located at 2300 N. Fort Valley Rd on May 6. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children/students, and can be purchased in person at Coconino Center for the Arts, Arizona Music Pro, or online by visiting flagartscouncil.org.
