Coconino Center for the Arts

MRT_220_mntlion_jackets_crop_8x10 Flagstaff Arts Council is pleased to present the Mother Road Trio in concert at the Coconino Center for the Arts on Saturday, October 1, 2016. Doors open at 6:30pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm.

The Mother Road Trio is a Flagstaff-based group of musicians that formed in January 2014 after Larry Czarnecki, Sammy McRae and Mike Shiner met at a party. Once they realized they were all into different styles of music, they decided to pull out their instruments and see what might happen. Something sparked and the sound was warm and intimate with upright bass, harmonica and acoustic and electric guitar. They started writing music, harmonizing and interpreting songs in a wide range of styles including blues, swing, rock, gypsy jazz, soul and pop.

Personalities gelled and there was energy, joy and passion in their multidimensional performances. Over the past few months, this has been captured in the studio. The Mother Road Trio are excited to present their 1st recorded collection of music “On Route 66” consisting of 8 original songs and 2 more.

Doors open at 6:30pm and the show begins at 7:30pm at the Coconino Center for the Arts. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show. To avoid an online purchasing fee, please call the Coconino Center for the Arts at (928) 779-2300 or visit Arizona Music Pro in downtown Flagstaff.
