The Arboretum at Flagstaff and the Flagstaff Arts Council are pleased to present Domingo DeGrazia in concert at The Arboretum on June 7, 2014. Doors open at 4:45 pm and the concert is from 5:30 – 7 pm with an intermission.
Domingo DeGrazia blends Spanish guitar passion with the flair of Flamenco music. His music combines dynamic rhythms with vibrant Latin, Salsa, and rock drum beats. An Arizona native raised with the sounds and imagery of the desert southwest, Domingo’s guitar playing has charmed audiences with songs that are as rhythmic as they are percussive; moving from passionate to whimsical and elegant to sorrowful.
He was born in the United States and raised in the desert southwest. Youngest son of the late artist Ted DeGrazia, Domingo carries on the family legacy for artistry and diversity. A renaissance man like his father, Domingo earned college diplomas in aerospace, aeronautical science, and law. He is a licensed helicopter pilot, a skydiver, a certified scuba diver, a former X-Games bicycle stunt rider, and a former motorcycle road racer.
Domingo DeGrazia carries the role of front-man and lead guitarist while Grammy nominated artist Jim Pavett brings percussion and live drums. Violinist Beth Daunis brings exotic and soulful violin while Mark Brugler and Aaron Kirk round out the core of the band with bass and rhythm guitar. Jim Pavett is an experienced studio/live drummer, recording engineer, producer and a 20+ year veteran of the recording industry. Ms. Daunis has been playing the violin for 23 years. Her training began at the age of four, and continued through Bennington College under the tutelage of renowned chamber musician Diane Pascal.
The concert takes place on June 7, 2014. Doors open at 4:45 pm and the concert is from 5:30 – 7 pm with an intermission. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner.
