The eleventh annual Viola Awards Gala will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff. The Viola Awards celebrate excellence in the arts and sciences in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Gala event feels a lot like the Oscars for the Flagstaff arts scene! Guests dress in fun and crazy outfits, many in formal wear, and there’s even a Best Dressed contest.

The event is the largest non-profit arts fundraiser in Northern Arizona and also serves as an award ceremony celebrating the best of Flagstaff’s Arts and Sciences. All winners of the 2019 Viola Awards will be announced at the gala event.

The Flagstaff Arts Council is pleased to announce the Finalists for the 2019 Viola Awards in celebration of excellence in the arts and sciences in Flagstaff, Arizona. Thirty-eight Finalists are recognized across nine categories, with some Finalists being recognized in multiple categories.

2019 Gala Dinner Menu: 

Salad: Asian Pear and Apple salad on Butter Lettuce with Sake Vinaigrette

Steak option: Grilled Steak medallion with Peppercorn Teriyaki sauce with sautéed baby bok choy and glazed shitake mushrooms, and vegan Fried Rice

Fish option: Grilled Whalu fish with Whisky grilled Pear glaze with Teriyaki sautéed baby bok choy and glazed shitake mushrooms, and vegan Fried Rice

Vegetarian/ Vegan: Chili Roasted Cauliflower Steak Whisky grilled Pear glaze with Teriyaki sautéed baby bok choy and glazed shitake mushrooms, and vegan Fried Rice (no egg, no dairy)
