Program Coordinator Position Description

The Program Coordinator provides assistance with planning and production of a robust, diverse and vibrant slate of programs at the Coconino Center for the Arts (CCA), and in the broader community. This is done through management of various Arts Council programs, volunteer coordination, and assistance with day-to-day operations of CCA’s facility. The Program Coordinator is a full-time position, reporting to the Deputy Director.

Full Time Position (40 hrs/ week) 
Tentative start date: Oct 29, 2018

Pay range: $26,000-30,000 commensurate with experience

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Volunteer recruitment, management and retention
  • Management and promotion of First Friday ArtWalk and Downtown Friday Nights
  • Support for gallery activities including: installation and transition of artwork
  • Lead curator and organizer for the annual Youth Art Exhibition
  • Management of concert ticket sales and workshop registration
  • Assistance with production of Arts Council events including: receptions, concerts, workshops and performances
  • Front desk duties including: greeting visitors, answering phones and compiling attendance numbers
  • Assist with facility rentals and rental contracts
  • Assistance with promotional activities including: regular Facebook posts, distribution of printed materials, and managing events on Flagstaff 365 (community calendar)
  • Assist with the annual Viola Awards

Work environment includes an office setting, gallery, theater space and some events in other venues. Professional attire required. The ideal candidate will have reliable transportation and must have a flexible schedule. Saturday shifts required for gallery coverage and occasional nights for special events.
