The Coconino Center for the Arts will be CLOSED Wednesday, July 4th to observe the Independence Day Holiday. We will return Thursday, July 5th with regular gallery hours 11am-5pm!  The festivities continue around town with great cultural events throughout the weekend.   • Flagstaff Art in the Park | Sat & Sun June 30-July 2, 9a-6p
    Wheeler Park
    Arts and crafts festival that features tightly juried one-of-a-kind fine art and fine crafts designed and shown by the artists. The shows takes place in Wheeler Park in Downtown Flagstaff; a beautiful tree shaded, grassy venue across the street from City Hall and on the main thoroughfare to the Grand Canyon. In addition to nearly one hundred artists from across the Southwest, the show features nonstop live music throughout the three days of each event and a wine garden featuring Arizona wineries. So come and join us once again for another amazing season of art and music in the heart of Northern Arizona’s cool pines!
  • The Hopi Festival of Arts and Culture |  June 30- Jul 1, 9a- 5p daily
    Museum of Northern Arizona
    The festival will have more than 60 artists as well as traditional music, dancing and food. There will also be children’s activities. The cost is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors over age 65, $7 for students with an ID, $6 for American Indians, $6 for children ages 10 to 17 and children 10 and under are free.
  • Flagstaff Folk Festival |  June 30 – Jul 1, 10a-6p daily

    A multi-stage event proudly showcasing the best in Folk and acoustic music in Arizona and beyond.
  • Summer Block Party at Aspen Place | June 30, 2-4p
    Aspen Place at the Sawmill is celebrating summer with a block party on Saturday, June 30th from 2-4pm! Soak up some summer fun with interactive bubble activities! Enjoy tunes and enter to win prizes from KAFF Country Radio. And stroll through the shopping center for sales, samples, giveaways and prizes from participating shops and restaurants. Aspen Place at the Sawmill is located at Butler Ave. and Lone Tree Rd., just blocks from NAU and downtown Flagstaff.
  • Annual Babbitt Ford Car Show | July 1, 10a-2p
    Babbitt Ford Lincoln
    Free food, live music, classic cars. 14 Classes. Plaques for Participant’s Choice Award & People’s Choice Award. Free T-Shirts for participants. Live Band – Slim Jim & The Car Thieves. Free BBQ Lunch from 11am to 1pm. Awards at 1:30pm.
  • 2018 Annual Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Parade | July 4, 8 am
    Historic Downtown Flagstaff
    The 2018 Annual Greater Flagstaff Chamber 4th of July Parade presented by Pepsi with support from Twin Arrows Casino Resort is just around the corner!

    Join 20,000 spectators to watch over 100 floats, live stock, dancers, a marching band, and much more parading down the streets of downtown Flagstaff!

  • Lights on the Lawn | July 4, 3-10pm
    Continental Country Club
    The 4th annual “Lights on the Lawn” is an all-encompassing family event spanning the fun-filled Independence Weekend and more. It will feature hot food, cold drinks, live entertainment, a fantastic youth activity area, and of course front row seats on the Continental Country Club green for the City of Flagstaff’s lights display.
  • The Annual Downtown Mile | July 4, 6 a.m.
    Presented by Team Run Flagstaff, the annual race starts from Heritage Square and the first of four waves of runners goes off at 6:45 a.m.
  • The Four on the Fourth |  July 4, 7 am
    Four-mile footrace on the FUTS starting at the historic Flagstaff Flagpole on Thorpe Road. Head starts by age and gender. Certificates to the first 10 finishers.  Same-day registration: 6 to 6:45 a.m.  Free, but please bring a canned food donation for the Food Bank. For info and to volunteer: 928-774-5776
  • A Flag Fourth – The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra |  July 4, 2 pm
    Fort Tuthill Park
    Annual free Independence Day concert. Enjoy an afternoon of patriotic music under the pines, performed by Flagstaff’s very own professional orchestra! Pepsi Amphitheater at Fort Tuthill Park, 2pm, 800-956-6123.
