The deadline for organizations to apply for funding through the Art & Science Fund grant program is Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 11:30pm. Grant applications must be submitted through the Arts Council’s CommunityGrants online portal.

Grant funds come from the City of Flagstaff’s Bed, Board and Beverage (BBB) tax revenues – 7.5% is allocated to arts and science programming that benefits residents of and visitors to Flagstaff. The Arts Council has been administering these grant funds under a written service agreement with the City of Flagstaff since 2002.

Two types of applications will be accepted. The first is General Operating Support grants which are for non-profit organizations whose mission statements define them as primarily working in the art, culture and/or science fields, providing direct public benefit through their work. The second type of application is for Project Support grants. These grants can go to any Arizona-based non-profit organization or post-secondary education institution that is producing a public program in the field of arts, culture, and/or sciences. Artists and individuals may apply for Project Support grants if they are formally backed by a fiscal agent non-profit based in Arizona.

Funding is for organizations and projects doing work during the FY18 fiscal year, July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018.
