2017 Viola Award Nominee for Emerging Artist

Abe Snider is a Flagstaff native who graduated from Sinagua High School in 2008. He has been using cameras and film equipment since 2014 but didn’t get into it fully until 2011. During his travels throughout Asia that year he began to document the places and people he met along the way, and through that started to discover the technical and artistic side of photography.

After returning home and at the request of family and friends he started printing his work. He quickly learned the methods of matting and framing and began to display his work publicly. Abe has displayed in dine art galleries around Northern Arizona and has been featured in multiple international newspapers and magazines (full list below.)

Abe is currently offering photography classes & workshops in Northern Arizona. He has also written two e-books, one is meant to help photographers with their first digital camera and get them familiar with your camera. The second guide will walk photographers through planning a shooting an image of the night sky (Milky Way) and assumes that you know what ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed is.

Abe is a talented photographer, dedicated to pursuing his craft to the best of his ability and contributing to the Flagstaff community. His gigapixel starscapes are world-class, and his stunning landscapes of Northern Arizona and around the world are an inspiration. As his work continues to evolve, I have no doubt we will see great things from him.”
