There are many great happenings in Flagstaff this weekend. First up is the final weekend of August: Osage County at Theatrikos Theatre Company. This is an incredibly powerful play that will leave an impression on you. Go see it and support local artists!
As school kicks in this week for most of Flagstaff, the weekend is full of fun events to help you celebrate the start of another great year. The Big Dreams Elephant Masquerade is Friday night at the Green Room, with performances, art auction and an elephant stilt parade. The Arizona Rough Riders are doing a living history presentation Saturday at Riordan. And Tony Norris & Clair Anna Rose are playing music together on Heritage Square Friday night.
Are you excited about the Perseid Meteor Shower being the best and brightest in years this weekend? Head out to the Arboretum for the Perseid Meteor Shower Campout. If you’d prefer to dance, Flagstaff’s chapter USA Dance has their annual Midsummer Night’s Ball fund raiser on Saturday night. Finally, on Friday night, the Pioneer Museum has Night at the Museum: Thumb Prints, a history of hitchhiking in Arizona.
There’s a LOT more. I can’t list it all, so please visit Flagstaff 365 for details on these events and more. Happy weekend Flagstaff!
