Four new opportunities for artists have been posted to the Flagstaff Arts Council site this week. Three of the offerings are for exhibitions at the Coconino Center for the Arts, and the fourth is for an artist marketplace.

A Wild Beauty – the Arts Council is pleased to announce a new exhibition celebrating Coconino County’s 125th Anniversary. Artists are encouraged to apply for entry in A Wild Beauty, which will showcase the county’s rugged, unique character of the land and its people. Deadline for artists to apply is August 22, 2016.

It’s Elemental – the most popular annual art exhibition in Flagstaff continues in 2016, featuring fine craft in glass, wood, textiles, paper, metal and ceramics. There are $1,000 in cash awards given to artists recognized for excellent art in the fine craft exhibition. Deadline for artists to apply is September 20, 2016.

Fine Craft Sale – The Fine Craft Sale is a 2-day artist marketplace with 18-20 artists selling their work in the gallery at the Coconino Center for the Arts. Just in time for the holidays on the first weekend in December, the tenth annual event always draws a strong buying audience that loves local artists. Deadline for artists to apply is September 20, 2016.

Foundations – this opportunity is specifically for college student artists in Northern Arizona. Foundations shows in the Jewel Gallery and is the exhibition that is open concurrently with the popular fine craft exhibition, It’s Elemental. Deadline to apply is October 7, 2016.

FunTown Summer Circus Camp also returns in July, the third year for the successful camp for children.
