Alice Turner’s “Ellora” was accepted into the 2015 Youth Lens show

Now in its third year, the Youth Lens High School Photography Contest is open to Flagstaff-area high school students to submit their work. Students may enter one photograph to be considered for inclusion in an exhibition at Nature Exposed Photography during First Friday ArtWalk. Prizes will be given to the top three entries.

The deadline for students to apply is this Thursday, March 24, 2016. Submissions must be made online through the Arts Council’s website.

Any subject matter is accepted and permitted, as long as it is suitable for all ages. The three-person jury that will select from submitted entries is Tony Freeman of Nature Exposed Photography, Tom Alexander of Tom Alexander Photography and Stephen Saunders of The Framing Department at Hidden Light.

All accepted photography will be printed by Nature Exposed (approx. 8”x10”) and displayed in Nature Exposed offices at 19 West Birch Avenue, Flagstaff, AZ. The opening reception will be held during First Friday ArtWalk on May 6, 2016, 6-9 p.m., and the exhibition will remain open through July 2016.
