The annual series of free outdoor events featuring live music, performing arts, and Movies on the Square begins this weekend on Heritage Square in historic downtown Flagstaff. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening there will be free entertainment on the Square. It all kicks off on Thursday, May 21, with Cadillac Angels in concert at 5pm.
The program continues with performances by Flagstaff Aerial Arts and the Flagstaff School of Music on Friday, May 22, from 6-8pm. Movies on the Square starts its season with Big Hero Six at dusk on Saturday, May 23. They also host performances beginning at 5pm prior to the movie. There are also ballroom dancing lessons on Wednesday nights throughout the summer.
The biggest nights of the series will be for ArtWalk events on the First Friday of each month in June, July, August and September. Dozens of galleries and businesses open their doors during ArtWalk to show art, feature live music and host the community around Flagstaff’s biggest monthly art event.
Free programs continue every week throughout the summer until mid-September. For the full schedule of events, visit our Summer Nights on the Square page.
