Flagstaff Arts Council announces the ArtBox Institute 2015. The ArtBox Institute is a four-month professional development program for creatives, arts administrators, gallery owners, and artists of any medium, any age, at any stage of a career.
The ArtBox Institute recognizes the value of artists to express the human spirit and the power of learning to expand their reach. ArtBox will provide participants the tools and resources to navigate the business challenges of the contemporary marketplace. The ArtBox is designed to be hands-on, interactive learning, where participants practice what they are learning in the classroom. Curriculum focuses on several primary areas including branding, verbal communication, website development, financial literacy and more.
The curriculum is a four-month program where instruction sessions take place for four hours each Wednesday evening between January 28 and May 20. The opening weekend retreat takes place on January 24-25 and the graduation occurs on May 23. Full participation is required.
The application deadline for the ArtBox Institute is October 24, 2014 and participants will be notified no later than December 1, 2014. Tuition for the Artbox Institute is $750; grant and scholarship opportunities are available. Applications can be found at https://flagartscouncil.org/artbox-institute/.
