My work examines the relationship between what is private and what is public. I hand sew my nude figure drawings on newsprint into life-sized paper lingerie and underwear. The drawings of male and female models appear on the outside of the clothing, reversing the order of these layers. The clothing is delicate but can’t be worn. When we view these pieces, we aren’t given information what these figures mean to the owner of the clothing-are they dreams, wishes, or memories? We are looking at secrets.
