I try to make what is intangible, such as personal experiences, thoughts, feelings, and humor, into something tangible, an artist book/print/sculptural object. Technically, I place form against form, object against object, each interacting with the other to create a visual metaphor based on my own experiences. Each piece begins as a representation of a thought or feeling, and the interweaving of the imagery along with the materials creates a visual poetry. Currently, Head of Printmaking at Kean University and teaching printmaking, papermaking and book arts in Union, New Jersey. She continues to work primarily in intaglio printmaking, papermaking and the artist books.
