For time immemorial, people have gathered at the base of San Francisco Peaks. Our unique setting on the Colorado Plateau and the people that gather and have gathered here inspires us to not only discover but to create – create art, cultural experiences, and community.
We are rich in imagination and discovery. Our cultural richness drives a growing creative economy, and serves as the foundation by which we foster opportunity to pursue creative practices and to be touched by the creativity of others.

We gather artists, thinkers, makers, and leaders to help build community around making change through creative programming and initiatives. Some of our programs include the Viola Awards, ArtWalk FLG, and industry events like roundtables, trainings, and networking. Strategically, we are working towards initiatives in collaborative programing, advocacy, grantmaking, and more to further enhance creative opportunities within Flagstaff.

For more than 20 years, Creative Flagstaff has served as Flagstaff’s arts, science, and culture agency, investing in our community through strategic partnerships, programming, and policy advocacy. Creative Flagstaff has issued more than $6 million dollars in grants and has incubated new arts, science, and culture programs to help build community-wide initiatives and bring local organizations to life.

Flagstaff365.com is Flagstaff’s event calendar. Presented in partnership with Discover Flagstaff, the City’s tourism agency, the calendar features everything from festivals to classes.
ArtWalk FLG brings Downtown Flagstaff to life every first Friday of the month. Art galleries and businesses open their doors to the community with special art exhibitions, performances, live music, treats, and more.
