About the 2010 Viola Awards

The 2nd Annual Viola Awards Gala was held on March 4, 2010, at the Radisson Woodlands Hotel in Flagstaff. The Viola Awards celebrate excellence in the arts in the Flagstaff area. Ten different awards are given to individuals, organizations and businesses for outstanding work in their respective fields.

Emcee Laura Kelly kicked off the night with her ruby red slippers and entertained the crowd. The key performance was by the Children’s Chorale of Flagstaff. The iconic moment of the night was the audience response to Craig Bowie’s win for Arts Education: when his name was announced as the winner, the entire crowd jumped to its feet and roared in celebration.
